These are some of the books I'm looking forward to next year (2012). Dates may be wrong, or change them - I've scrounged the details from where I can on the Internet. And some of them may not appear - these things seem to change quite a lot.
The Legacy of Hartlepool Hall by Paul Torday - 5 January.
Hartlepool Hall appeared briefly in Torday's last book, More Than You Can Say. Here we learn more about it's history - it's part a sort of Fall of the House of Hartlepool, part a commentary on the country's current financial mess. (I was lucky enough to get a review copy of this).
The Chosen Seed: the Dog-Faced Gods Book 3 by Sarah Pinborough - 19 January
Pinborough's trilogy is set in a near future world ravaged by financial collapse and corruption. It's partly a police procedural, partly horror, partly SF - the world is being manipulated by The bank, a front for a race of aliens from Somewhere Else... this is the final part in which, hopefully, we find out what's been going on.
Transmission - Ragnarok Book 2 by
John Meaney - 19 January
Meaney's first book hopped across space and time - from the Viking age to 1920s Zurich and far future humanity - linking characters who are, in some way not yet clear, acting together against a deadly menace. Lots of imagination and a compelling story.

Dalziel and Pascoe by Reginald Hill - 2 February.
Still seems to be untitled. Hope it really does happen.
The Fourth Wall by Walter Jon Williams - 2 February
A third adventure for Williams' near future heroine, Dagmar Shaw. In the last book she was busy astroturfing revolutions in the Middle East...
The Flight by MR Hall - 3 February
Fourth in a series about a Bristol coroner who can be relief on to stir up trouble while searching for the Truth. Unfortunately not being published in hardback except in a limited edition.
From the Deep of the Dark by Stephen Hunt - 13 February
This series has now reached book 6. However I really don't like the new style covers they introduced with the last one (and, again, no hardback).
Intrusion by Ken MacLeod - 1 March
Only started reading his books recently, but I think they're great - thought provoking, absorbing and fun. Looking forward to this.

I loved her last book, We Are all Made of Glue, so good to see another coming.
Whispers Under Ground (Rivers of London 3) by Ben Aaronovitch - 15 March
Developing into a great series.
